SCGA ONE-DAY SERIES INFORMATION

FORMAT: 7:30 a.m. tee time start. All players will participate in an 18-hole, net stroke-play round. The tournament field will be divided into flights based on handicap index. Contestants in all flights during the tournament will use their playing handicap; 95% of their course handicap (new in 2020).
Flight handicap dispersal for the tournament will be determined after the entry closing date. The SCGA Championship & Golf Operations Committee reserves the right to adjust a player’s course handicap at any time prior to or during the competition.
ELIGIBILITY: This tournament is open to amateurs (men and women) who are members of a current SCGA member club with an established handicap index at the time of registration. All entrants must be a member of a club that has a handicap chairperson who has successfully completed the SCGA’s certified Handicap Chair program within the last four years.
ENTRIES OPEN: Wednesday, January 8, 2020
ENTRY DEADLINE: Tuesday, March 24, 2019
ENTRY FEE: $75 (Includes golf, shared cart, range balls, awards, and/or gift card prizes for the 1st – 5th place finishers in each flight.)
PLAYER INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played will be emailed and posted on scga.org/ods after entries close.
PAIRINGS REQUEST: All pairings requests must be requested during the registration process. Pairing requests for groups of 4 will be split into pairs.
LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming there is still space available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and will only be accepted over the phone.
REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $10 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
ONE-DAY SERIES POINTS PROGRAM: One-Day participants will receive points for participating in each One-Day Tournament, with top finishers earning additional points based on their Net finish. At the completion of the series, the top 16 points leaders will qualify for the One-Day Series Match Play Invitational.
The top finishers will receive the following point denominations in addition to the participation bonus.
1st – 100 points 6th – 25 points
2nd – 65 points 7th – 20 points
3rd – 50 points 8th – 15 points
4th – 35 points 9th – 10 points
5th – 30 points 10th – 5 points
Participation Bonus – 25 points
Match Play Invitational
The Match Play Invitational is an invitation event only. The top 16 points leaders on the SCGA One-Day Series Points Program will compete in a Match Play bracket with the winner being crowned the Match Play Invitational Champion. Points will be awarded to all participants based on their finish in the Invitational. The Champion of the Match Play Invitational will receive a $500 Roger Dunn gift card and a crystal trophy. The Runner-Up of the Match Play Invitational will receive a $250 Roger Dunn gift card and a pewter plate.
One-Day Series Player of the Year
The Player of the Year award will be awarded to the participant with the highest point total after the Match Play Invitational. (The winner of the Match Play Invitational does not automatically win the Player of the Year.) The Player of the Year will also receive a $750 Roger Dunn Gift Card and a commemorative framed flag.
